Every Day Moments | Januray 5th, 2010

Here's a new blog posting that I'm going to try out...I hope you enjoy thinking on and remembering the joy of everyday moments with me!

For Tuesday, January 5th

Outside my window...I see the many shades of brown and grey that winter always brings.  It looks cold and lifeless, begging that I stay inside!

I am thinking...that I would love to be as productive today around the house as I was yesterday.  {But if I'm going to get anywhere close, I need to finish my post and turn off the computer!}

I am thankful for...the many smiles that I have seen this morning, first from the love of my life as he kissed me goodbye when leaving for work, and then from my little ones as they began their day.

From the learning rooms...we are getting back into the swing of things after a little time off for the holidays.  Katie is begging to homeschool every few minutes :-)

From the kitchen...the dishes are washing, tonight's meat is thawing, and a lovely new candle is burning.

I am going...do my best to do all things "wholeheartedly as unto the Lord" today...even the small ones and the not-so-enjoyable ones.

I am reading..."Changed Into His Image" and "Essential Virtues of a Christian" by Jim Berg, and my new All You magazine :-)

I am hoping...and praying that God would give me the desires of my heart that He wants me to have this new year.

I am hearing...Sesame Street playing in the background, while Austin sings {without any real words} to the top of his lungs! :-)

Around the house...the laundry is almost finished, the kids' rooms are organized from Christmas, the kitchen is next to be cleaned, and the walls are begging for the new colors that we've decided on {now, to find the time to paint them}!

One of my favorite things...right now is my Wii Fit Plus!  It is so nice to be able to do a nice work-out in the comfort of my own home.  Now, to shed those extra pounds and baby belly!!

A few plans for the week...around the house today, church tomorrow evening, ROLL TIDE ROLL and maybe a little shopping on Thursday evening, then, who knows! :-)

Here is a picture I'm sharing...
Austin playing with his cousin, Sydney, while we were visiting for Christmas.  I couldn't help but laugh at how similar in size they looked while sitting here, considering he is 5 months older! :-)
